U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine
determined that an adequate daily fluid intake is: About 15.5 cups (3.7
liters) of fluids a day for men. About 11.5 cups (2.7 liters) of fluids a
day for women.
100 to 129 mg/dL – near or above the optimal. 130 to 159 mg/dL – borderline high. 160 to 189 mg/dL – high. 190 mg/dL and above – very high.
Higher HDL levels are associated with a lower risk of heart disease. HDL levels lower than 40 milligrams per deciliter (mg/dL) are considered worrisome, and levels higher than 60 mg/dL are considered excellent.
